The atmosphere is part of the horror, and of course that is what makes the game so creepy. The cool thing about Visage is that unlike most вЂњcheapвЂќ horror games, it does not rely solely on jump scares. YouвЂ™ll wander through the gloomy corridors and try to piece together those events.

From there we move to a creepy house where the owner apparently doesnвЂ™t know how to change any light bulbs. Visage starts out with a cut scene involving Russian Roulette with apparent hostages. While Visage is unique, itвЂ™s clear that it is a mix of many of the previously mentioned games, including of course PT.

I say sadly because while the demo was fun to play, we never got the full game. Sadly, PT was released as a free demo for the PlayStation 4 in 2014 to much acclaim. The first commercial, asymmetrical horror game I remember was Damned, which came out in 2013. Resident Evil 5 came out in 2009 and Dead Space 3 came out in 2013, both trying to capitalize on the multiplayer movement, but most of the trends these days seem to be set by indie studios.
